Transformers

I also saw Transformers yesterday and going in I was hoping that they'd retain some elements of the original cartoon. Coming out I wished it wasn't entirely exactly like the original cartoon. It was fun, too long, of course and the special effects were awesome. But man was it cheesy. Pretty much all the way through. It amy have been live action, but make no mistake, it's still a cartoon.

I doubt I'll see it again except for that scene when Megan Fox is trying to fix the car. That scene I'll download to my iPod.

She was one of the few redeeming things about this movie, which was otherwise a total POS.

Shia LeBouf is funny, that was one of the other ones.

Honestly I loved the movie.. I thought it was very well done.. Very much to the Comics/cartoons ... Even the voice of Prime was the original voice... and the CGI / Action scenes were just Awesome..

      Far from a POS movie...

did you copy/paste, or just click on it?

your alternative is going to images.google.com and typing in "Megan Fox".

And yes, apologies to Tim. That actually WAS the best 2 hr-long GM commercial I've ever seen.

Tip when you get a "forbidden" on a link. They're trying to prevent "deep linking" or accessing their stuff from another website. All you need to do is re-paste in just the root of the URL, just up to the whatever .com You'll be at the main page. From there paste in the remainder of the URL and you'll have the link.

    I enjoyed the Movie..a lot
Sure it was Cheesy in a lot of parts, but, still..all in all...it was a really good Summer Movie Popcorn kind of Flick
(Also, as a transplanted LA resident and Movie Fan..it was Fun/Funny to see and know of all the places in the Los Angeles area that the movie was filmed too).
I hope the sequels will be even better.

All while watching this movie I started wondering if I've become to jaded to enjoy blockbuster popcorn fare. Which would be a shame because I've always loved it and make no excuses. But all through Transformers I felt I had seen it all before like in Independence Day and others. The one thing I must give this film props for is the CGI blending them into the big street scenes at the end is flawless. That and Megan Fox looks really good working on a Camaro.

Independence Day was a better film. And so was Men in Black. While Transformers is a good summer film, it will just not be as memorable.

Well, i would have to say that I would give this film at the very least 4 toes up. Having seen it now 3 times, i feel i and give an adequate review of my opinion of the film.

While i would agree that there are certain plot points that don't gel and scenes that are quite laughable, in the end, we are talking about Transformers. A pretty basic cartoon about robots that transform into vehicles. A show that had really weak human characters and simple dialogue. That being said, one can only expect so much from a summer blockbuster about transforming robots. And I would have to say that Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg delivered exactly what they meant to and just what we needed amidst the mediocre fare that was Spider-Man 3 and Pirates 3. Both films that had way too much going on and long boring story lines. Not to mention the cheap CGI in Spider-Man that couldn't 'even touch Transformers.

Agreeing with Mr. Toad, the CGI in Transformers was beyond top notch. The fact that they were able to conceal so much that it was hard to tell actual model from computer model. Excellent action sequences. Decent dialogue with some great humor scenes. And yes, a hot babe sweating over a car engine. There's really not much more one needs for a fun-filled summer movie to get you pumped and excited.

I would have to say, that for a first time out, these guys did pretty damn good. One can only imagine with the next one will be like.

On a side note, I could not even think about agreeing that Independence Day was better. Except for great explosions, there's not much redeeming about that film. A mediocre President, a ridiculous plot and virus solution ending, even more ridiculous scenes with people like Will Smith punching aliens. I just recently watch the scene where the magical dog escapes getting fried by jumping into a closet with Vivica A Fox and her son and the magical closet keeps the flames from bursting in without a door. I could probably go on about ID4, but I'd rather not. Being that the same people brought forth the equally ridiculous Godzilla, I can only cross my fingers that 10,000 BC is worth the wait.

I saw this twice, the second time on IMAX which was great but it taught me that a lot of the talking scenes and quite a few characters were completely unnecessary. I was just waiting for the action!!! And the lead guy was really annoying. With all that said, I loved it, and I would pay to see it again!!!

"All Hail Megatron" God i got so pumped when the Decepticons rolled out.

And **SURPRISE!** the black robot dies. No. Strike that. He didn't just die, he got punked -- bad.

I know I can't be the only one that noticed that.
